Leadership in Highly Effective Teams - A one day course.


Register for this class at least 21 days in advance. This class is Guaranteed to Run. However, if there are no registrations within 21 days of the class, the class may be rescheduled. Register by clicking on the "Register for Class" button above. Note: If you want to make sure the class runs or you have a seat for yourself make your purchase at least 3-4 weeks in advance. However, if this class is showing up here it means there are still seats available. Only 8-11 seats are available for the class depending on training room designated.

Brief course outline covering

• Review Competency-Based Leadership Process

• What makes up effective teams?

• How to avoid behaviors which will undermine leadership.

• How to be a more effective leader.

• The characteristics of Private & Public Sector Leadership.


Class Objectives:

• Students will understand and describe different styles of leadership

• Students will identify and describe their leadership characteristics and competencies.

• Students will develop ideas on how to improve competencies in which they feel they can improve.

• Students will better understand team dynamics that can improve team performance.

• Students will understand characteristics of their organization and teams that influence their leadership behavior.

• Students will understand traps that could undermine their credibility and effectiveness as leaders.

• Students will identify several “lessons” and techniques which will help maintain and improve their leadership effectiveness.

• Students will understand the challenges of managing in the public sector and come away with strategies to overcome the challenges.

Go straight up the hill and follow the signs to 2018. It’s the Regus building on the left. There is lots of free parking to the right and in front of the building.
