Class Study is based on PMBOK® Guide Version 4. Each evening will consist of 3 hours and 45 minutes of learning. Added to the training is the new area of the roles of the project managers. The Exam changed August 31, 2011.

Project Certification Prep Class Evening Schedule - The Project Management Knowledge areas are divided into 5 sections for each day of training. Over the 10 evenings or 5 evenings plus a weekend, you will go over the Knowledge Areas Scheduled for the evening or day, the Process Groups, Inputs, Outputs, Tools & Techniques, Definitions, & roles, tasks and responsibilities of project managers. Reviews are all part of your training. Two Evenings will cover one fifth of a 5 Day Training schedule. One weekend covers half of the training time.

Section 1: Overview of Project Management, Process Groups, Processes & Knowledge Areas and Integration Management, Start of Scope Management - finish with Collect Requirements, and lots of PMP® exam practice questions with instructor led explanations

Section 2: Review of First Day, Scope Management - Starting with Define Scope, Time Management, Roles, tasks and responsibilities of the project manager and lots of PMP® exam practice questions with instructor led explanations

Section 3: Cost Management, Quality Management and Roles, tasks and responsibilities of the project manager, as well as lots of PMP® exam practice questions with instructor led explanations

Section 4: Human Resource & Communications Management, Roles, tasks and responsibilities of the project manager, as well as lots of PMP® exam practice questions with instructor led explanations,

Section 5: Risk & Procurement Management, and , Roles, tasks and responsibilities of the project manager, as well as lots of PMP® exam practice questions with instructor led explanations

Many of you are concerned about all the PMP® exam practice questions. You will get about 30-50 PMP® exam practice questions in each of the Knowledge Areas. There are 9 knowledge areas. You will learn how to analyze the questions. And in the PMP® Exam Review Class you will have another 150 questions. This Exam Review part of the class is an assessment really of what you are retaining and see if you are on the right track.

Summary of PMP® Course Work

1. SmartPath LLC covers the 5 process groups, the 9 knowledge areas in those groups, the 42 processes, all the inputs and outputs, and we go into quite a lot of detail for tools and techniques, and roles, tasks and responsibilities of Project Managers. If you have gaps in your project experience these will be filled in for you.

2. Our PMP® prep course materials cover everything you need to pass the exam. There are lots of illustrations and examples plus 12 laminated workflows that show inputs, outputs, tools and techniques along with other visuals that facilitate different learning styles. Visibility really helps with the portions that need memory work or deep understanding.

3. There are approximately 30-50 exam practice questions in each of the 9 knowledge areas which also include Code of Ethics questions. There are roles, tasks and responsibilities of the project manager in each knowledge area as they relate to the Process Groups.

4. Throughout the training, there are lots of real life project examples based on experience which brings the class to life.

5. The Exam Review is part of the training on the last day. The purpose is to see what you know at point in time and what you need to work on. There are 150 questions and a checklist and pointers on how to pass the Exam.
