This class provides provides a comprehensive understanding of Six Sigma including lean methodologies. In this training the participants learn, understand and employ integrated tools for organization-wide process improvement. The main focus of the training is to pass the SSGB exam of ASQ. The participants, after the training, will be able to participate in lean six sigma projects to bring significant cost savings to an organization, as well as implement process improvement. This training is essential for passing the Six Sigma Green Belt certification examination. If you have not used statistical math for Six Sigma, or any statistical math since college, we highly recommend that you take the Pre-requisite class first. Does this class teach lean Six Sigma? Yes. Lean Six Sigma is part of the SSGB course materials and does come in the exam. However, this is not a Lean Six Sigma exam. This is an ASQ exam preparatiion class.

Do you need to take the SSGB exam if you take this class, or can you take the class for Professional Development (PDUs)? You may take this class if you wish to learn, even if you don't wish to take the SSGB exam; however, you will also need to be able to do the math or the class will leave you behind. Although you will use a scientific calculator with Statistics throughout the training, you will need to understand what you are calculating. This class is not a watered down Six Sigma Certification class. It is ASQ SSGB exam-focused.

The ASQ Exam, penalty fees or membership fees are not included.

Audience:
The participants may attend to learn, or have the desire to take the certification exam. We prepare you to take the SSGB exam. Some training companies do not give you the preparation you need to pass the ASQ Exam. This is an open book exam but practice is very important. Note: This class requires Statistical Math for Six Sigma. There's a lot of math in the Six Sigma Green Belt Class. While you will use a scientific calculator you need to understand what you are calculating. You can also take a Prerequisite Statistical Math for Six Sigma class prior to training if you feel that you need a refresher.

You may also take this training for professional development knowledge. Training is focused on passing the SSGB exam.

Scientific Calculator with Statistics - Preferably TI-30XIIS. This way everyone in the class will be able to follow the Instructor's exact directions: We will provide more calculator details at the time of purchase. You will need to bring one to class and use it for practice, as well as use it when you take your exam. Exam Requirement: Any silent, hand-held, battery-operated calculator without an alphabetic keyboard will be permitted; however, all programmable memory must be cleared before you enter the exam room. Calculators such as the Texas Instruments TI-83, TI-89 or similar are ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed because they contain alphabetic keyboards. The examination is written so that a simple scientific calculator with statistics will be sufficient to perform all calculations. Examinees are allowed to have a backup calculator if necessary.

Cost of The SSGB Certification Exam
The SSGB exam is $438 without an ASQ membership or $288 with an ASQ membership at the time of writing. The price of the Exam is not included in the training price.

About the training: You will learn what you need to know, how to pass the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Exam and the methods to improve your work. You will examine prior exams and make sure you understand them. Between classes you will continue to study and practice. Classes may be held on weekends or week days. You may take the next exam (see exam dates on this page) or continue to practice until a later one; however, you need to align your exam date to your application dates to avoid penalties and read your application carefully.

This class is usually available once or twice a Year - Check our site throughout the year as we are offering these classes 100% Live Online so you may see more of them: Exam schedules are now available at Prometric. You will have small amounts of structured learning during the week so you can practice the problems you will need to be able to solve in the Exam. Practice is very important.

You will be able to study previous Exam Data. When class ends you will be able to take this open book Exam with a high comfort level if you have practiced. You will be able to take the Certification Exam according to the application date aligned in the provided schedule. Most trainees will want to practice a few months or more before taking the SSGB exam. If you have organized your class materials and you know how to do the statistical calculations and analysis, then you can take your exam earlier.

Work Description for Six Sigma Greenbelts:
You spend some of your time on process improvement teams, analyzing and solving quality problems, and you are involved with Six Sigma, lean or other quality improvement projects. Project Managers usually have quality experience.

Experience for Exam Approval: Three years of work experience in one or more areas of the Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge. Project Managers and Program Managers usually have quality experience.

Minimum Work is 3 years: - One of these may be your experience qualifier:
•Operates in support of or under the supervision of a Six Sigma Black Belt or
•Analyzes and solves quality problems or
•Involved in quality improvement projects or
•Participated in a project, but has not led a project or
•Has at least three years of work experience (see above)
•Has ability to demonstrate their knowledge of Six Sigma tools and processes

Education Requirements: Technical school (2 years), associate, bachelor, masters, doctorate. You must have a degree. There is no credit for unfinished education.

Work Experience Requirements: 3 years of related work. ASQ does not give education waivers. See more information below.

About SSGB exam questions:
Multiple choice questions that measure your comprehension of the Body of Knowledge. The exam lasts for 4 hours and you will have 100 multiple-choice questions. It is only offered in English. Exam retakes are $238
